Traditional Naadam Festival
Naadam! Naadam! Mongolian national day is celebrated throughout the country. Naadam festival is opened officially by the President of Mongolia. Soldiers on a horseback, sometimes dressed in a Chinggis Khan warrior’s regalia will pick up the nine white horsetail banners from the Parliament house where they are normally displayed and will then ride in procession through the city later to be placed in the center of the National Stadium from where we will be viewing the Opening Ceremony.
Golden Eagle Festival
“The Golden Eagle Festival”. Enjoy the Opening ceremony of the festival, as commences the participants join the parade on horseback riding with their eagles. The competition begins with each Kazakh displaying his hunting outfit and accessories. The most elaborate and beautiful clothing and accessories are given the highest points. In the afternoon, the Golden Eagles will be evaluated for their speed and agility. In the evening watch a Kazakh concert consisting of traditional songs and dances.
